Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and excellent communication skills.
Duties:
- Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload items from the van
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns
- Maintain accurate delivery records using the device provided
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Strong knowledge of local roads and routes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus
