Duties
- Provide personalised support to children and adults in various settings, including educational, recreational, or community environments.
- Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and organisation of routines.
- Support individuals in developing life skills and fostering independence through encouragement and guidance.
- Engage in activities that promote socialisation, learning, and emotional well-being.
- Monitor behaviour and progress, maintaining detailed records as required.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for those supported.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in support work.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is highly desirable; previous support or care work is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with both children and adults.
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility to adapt to different needs and situations.
