About the Role
Lobger Business Technology Solutions UK Ltd is looking for an analytical, organised and solutions-focused Business Systems Analyst to support software implementation, process improvement and digital transformation projects.
The successful candidate will work with clients, operational teams, project managers and technical specialists to understand business needs, evaluate existing systems and translate requirements into clear functional solutions. They will support projects from initial discovery and process mapping through configuration, testing, implementation and post-launch review.
This role is suitable for a business analyst with practical experience in systems analysis, requirements gathering or software delivery who is ready to take greater ownership of client-facing technology projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather business and system requirements from clients and internal stakeholders
- Conduct interviews, workshops and process-discovery sessions
- Analyse existing workflows, systems and operational procedures
- Identify inefficiencies, control gaps and improvement opportunities
- Document current-state and future-state business processes
- Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements
- Prepare business requirement documents and functional specifications
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria and process diagrams
- Define project scope, objectives and expected outcomes
- Maintain requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle
- Evaluate software platforms and system capabilities
- Assess whether proposed solutions meet operational requirements
- Support software selection and vendor-evaluation activities
- Collaborate with developers, consultants and system administrators
- Clarify requirements and answer questions during development
- Support system configuration and workflow design
- Review prototypes, demonstrations and proposed solutions
- Identify dependencies, assumptions and project risks
- Coordinate user-acceptance testing activities
- Develop test scenarios, scripts and expected results
- Record defects, issues and required improvements
- Track fixes and confirm that solutions meet acceptance criteria
- Support data-migration planning and validation
- Review source data for completeness and consistency
- Assist with system integration and interface requirements
- Support implementation planning and deployment activities
- Prepare user guides, process notes and training materials
- Deliver system demonstrations and user-training sessions
- Assist users during transition to new systems
- Gather feedback following implementation
- Monitor whether delivered solutions achieve expected benefits
- Prepare project updates and analytical reports
- Maintain process, system and project documentation
- Support change-control and requirement-amendment processes
- Work with project managers to track actions and deadlines
- Coordinate communication between business and technical teams
- Support CRM, ERP and business-application projects
- Investigate recurring system or process issues
- Recommend practical improvements based on user feedback and data
- Contribute to continuous improvement of business-analysis standards
- Manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or professional qualification in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management or a related subject
- At least two years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis or software implementation
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
- Practical knowledge of process mapping and workflow analysis
- Ability to translate business needs into clear system requirements
- Experience preparing user stories or functional specifications
- Understanding of software-development and implementation lifecycles
- Experience supporting user-acceptance testing
- Ability to identify risks, dependencies and operational constraints
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence facilitating meetings and stakeholder workshops
- Ability to explain technical concepts in clear business language
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Familiarity with project-management and collaboration platforms
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
Preferred Experience
- Experience working for a software company or technology consultancy
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP or case-management systems
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce or HubSpot
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or similar tools
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or Kanban methodologies
- Experience creating BPMN diagrams
- Knowledge of UML or systems-modelling techniques
- Experience supporting cloud-based application implementations
- Familiarity with APIs and system integrations
- Experience with data-migration and cleansing projects
- Knowledge of SQL or relational databases
- Familiarity with Power BI or business-intelligence tools
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform
- Understanding of UK GDPR and data-protection requirements
- Professional business-analysis certification such as BCS or IIBA
- Experience working with external clients or multiple business units
Pay: £31,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
