Job Title – JetVac Operative
Location – Mellor Brook, Lancashire
£13.00 per hour with a £15.00 per day attendance bonus and overtime rate
Monks Contractors are waste specialists - we provide haulage and waste specification plant hire to the waste industry. We also have a drain services team, civil contracting team, plant repair, hire and sales
Responsible to: Jetting Division Supervisor
As a JetVac Operative, you will be responsible for handling projects that cover all aspects of drain services. You will be required to carry out reactive emergency works as well as pre-planned maintenance projects across the country. It is essential that you ensure that the work carried out is done in a safe way, effective and efficient and In line with customers’ needs and expectations.
Responsible for;
· To perform the safe and professional operation of the JetVac and gully wagons and complete the cleaning of small and large diameter pipes and various structures
· To assist in the setup and breakdown of the piping/hoses for vacuum and hydro applications
· To work with JetVac technology to assist in removing blockages, sewage, grease, debris and silt from various waterways and vacuuming up material
· You will be responsible for working with equipment that needs to be handled carefully and responsibly, with suitable safe zones established and all the associated risks managed
· Essential Requirements;
· Preferably have a Class 2 License
· Full CPC obtained
· High Pressure Water Jetting Certificate
· Confined Space
· CSCS Card
· Working knowledge of Driving Regulations and The Working Time Directive
· Enthusiastic and committed
· Understanding of Health and Safety obligations
· The ability to work under pressure and actively seek solutions to problems
· Have a flexible approach to suit the business
Candidates applying for this role must also be flexible with working away and occasional night shifts and weekend work.
