Duties
- Install new electrical wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures in accordance with safety standards and technical specifications
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues or hazards
- Troubleshoot electrical problems using hand tools and power tools to diagnose faults accurately
- Perform repairs and maintenance on existing electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance
- Follow detailed work orders and safety procedures during all phases of installation and repair work
- Collaborate with other tradespeople or team members to complete complex projects efficiently
- Document all work performed, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades for record-keeping purposes
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters
- Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and voltage testers
- Strong electrical experience with a solid understanding of wiring diagrams, circuitry, and electrical codes
- Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues
- Good physical stamina for working in various environments and positions
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance at all times
