Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC / Edgebander Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery and edgebanding equipment to produce high-quality wood and composite products. Duties
- Operate CNC machines and edgebanding equipment efficiently, ensuring precise cuts and finishes according to specifications.
- Programme, set up, and adjust machinery using CAD files
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on machinery to minimise downtime.
- Handle materials safely, including loading raw materials and managing finished products within the warehouse.
- Use hand tools and tooling to assist with assembly, adjustments, or minor repairs as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of components.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, or similar manufacturing roles; warehouse experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAD software, and SolidWorks is desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, materials handling, welding, and assembly processes.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively and perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments.
- Strong understanding of materials properties and handling procedures within a manufacturing environment.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
- Prior experience working with CNC machinery or edgebanding equipment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
- Ability to work safely around industrial equipment, adhering strictly to health & safety regulations.
