Mecc Alte manufacture a wide range of industrial alternators from its plant in Oakham, working closely with its parent company (Mecc Alte SPA, based in Italy) and its customers to ensure top quality products are delivered throughout the product lifecycle.
We are seeking an EXPERIENCED Cycle Counter with SAP WMS experience.
To perform Cycle Count of production stock on a scheduled yearly cycle in line with the Cycle Count procedure. This includes counting, checking, correction and investigation of stock using an ABCD classification system.
Key Accountabilities/Role & Main Responsibilities
Cycle Count:
- Implementation of the Cycle Count procedure
- Correction of errors within the SAP system resulting from performing Cycle Count activities.
- Monitor and publish results via defined KPI’s
- Responsible for completing Cycle Count in line with defined time schedule
- Liaise with Production Team regarding improvement activities
- Identify and facilitate improvement actions throughout the company
- Compiling forms for “Write Off” approval and subsequence updating of SAP
- Involved in the classification of parts i.e. A, B, C or D which determines number of times per year stock is counted depending on its cost, lead-time, and strategic importance
- Checking and correcting sub assembly confirmations and scanning.
- Checking live orders (physically and on SAP) to check accuracy of scanning/ confirmations.
- Closing/ completing/ technically completing, live orders that should be closed.
- Sub assembly confirmations in SAP.
- Built machine confirmations in SAP (extra to the regular confirmations) - to bring stock levels to a live accurate level.
- Route cause analysis of cycle count/ Inv. control issues.
- Reviewing / suggesting improvements to practises and processes concerning areas that involve inventory control issues.
- Checking and reporting on BOM’s for accuracy, i.e. weights and lengths of materials.
- Analysing and cross referencing stock movements in SAP against GRN’s / Del notes + consumption/ BOM’s where stock level errors have been found to check for route cause of discrepancies.
- Fixing Errors in SAP - Daily clearing of COGI & negative stocks – checking against open production orders etc. - liaising with MRP and Inv. Control. Transferring stock from sales orders / issuing orders/ TECO etc.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Candidate MUST HAVE:
- Previous Stock control/cycle count administration experience in manufacturing engineering industry
- SAP Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience
- Strong Microsoft IT skills; Intermediate to Advance MS Excel skills
- High numeracy skills
- Strong stock control background
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to deliver work to set targets and specified standards
- Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative
- Effective team player
- A positive enthusiastic approach to solving problems
Desirable Skills and Experience: Forklift licence - Reach and Scissor lift
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible shift will be considered between 0600-1600hrs
