Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Female Support Worker (Drivers Only) to join our family run friendly & compassionate team serving Stamford Bridge and surrounding villages. This vital role involves providing personalized care and assistance to clients in their homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. As a driver, you will facilitate transportation for appointments, errands, and social activities, enabling clients to maintain independence and quality of life. Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients to medical appointments, social outings, shopping trips, and other activities across Stamford Bridge and nearby villages.
- Deliver high-quality personal care tailored to individual needs, including assistance with mobility, hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Develop and follow personalized care plans that promote client independence and respect their preferences.
- Monitor clients’ health status, report any changes or concerns promptly to relevant healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, medication administration, and transportation logs.
- Foster positive relationships with clients by offering companionship, emotional support, and engaging activities.
- Ensure the safety of clients during all interactions and adhere strictly to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Valid driving license with clean driving record; experience driving various vehicle types preferred.
- Prior experience in care settings such as nursing homes, care homes, or home care services is highly desirable although training can be provided.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and patient care practices.
- Certifications in first aid and dementia or Alzheimer’s care are advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for caregiving duties.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage behavior effectively and follow detailed care plans.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support seniors and individuals with complex health needs.
