Temporary Seasonal Firewood Delivery Driver & Operative
RTS Forestry are pleased to offer the following opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Driver /Machine Operator to join our Firewood team based out of our Crieff depot.
This will be a wide-ranging and varied role . It is therefore crucial that prospective candidates have an adaptable mindset and are willing to be flexible with the duties they are required to carry out. The role will be split into 2 primary functions covering both delivery and production of firewood according to demand.
The main focus during the winter months will be delivery of our high-quality firewood to domestic and commercial customers using a flatbed truck and Hiab crane, interspersed with firewood production using our firewood and kindling processors.
The role does not require any overnight trips, and you will start and finish from our Crieff depot. This is a temporary role. For the right candidate, opportunities for long-term, full-time employment will be considered post season.

We are continually investing in new plant and machinery to ensure optimal quality and efficiency of our operations. All our Wood Fuel operations are based out of our yard at Madderty.
What you will be doing:
- Carrying out Firewood deliveries using our fleet of delivery vehicles.
- Upholding high levels of customer service.
- Accurately reporting delivery information to both internal and external stakeholders daily.
- Managing workload and delivery schedules in line with daily demand Loading and unloading of firewood products onto delivery vehicles.
- Production of firewood products Machinery, Plant and Vehicle upkeep and maintenance.
- Other general yard duties as appropriate.
- Working hours are between 7am - 5pm.
Key Requirements:
- Class 2 HGV or C1 license Telescopic handler license preferred
- Ability to cover weekend shifts from time to time
- Proactive attitude and willingness to support wider Wood Fuel team where required
- Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics is beneficial
