Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative / Order Pickers to join our busy logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing orders for dispatch, ensuring efficient stock management and maintaining high standards of safety and organisation within the warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to develop their skills in a dynamic setting.
Duties
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications using warehouse management systems
- Handle materials safely, ensuring proper stacking and storage to prevent damage or accidents
- Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment where qualified, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist with loading and unloading lorries, ensuring timely receipt and dispatch of goods
- Maintain stock levels through regular stocking, replenishment, and inventory checks
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with safety procedures at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar environment
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safe lifting practices
- Experience operating forklifts (certification preferred)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order processing and stock control
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking and packing
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
