Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Goods In Supervisor to oversee the receipt and management of incoming materials within our warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the goods-in process, ensuring efficient handling, accurate documentation, and seamless coordination with logistics teams. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong leadership skills and a solid background in warehouse management to contribute to the optimisation of our supply chain processes. The position is full-time and involves supervising a team, managing materials handling activities, and maintaining safety standards across all operations.
Duties
- Supervise the daily goods-in activities, including receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery and accurate scheduling.
- Oversee materials handling operations using forklifts and other equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records within the warehouse management system
- Lead process improvement initiatives to optimise goods-in procedures, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all goods-in activities, including heavy lifting procedures.
- Collaborate with shipping & receiving teams to streamline outbound logistics as necessary.
- Oversee inventory accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Implement best practices in logistics management, including 3PL coordination when applicable.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts and mechanical tools.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Solid understanding of logistics processes, shipping & receiving procedures, and 3PL operations.
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Experience in process optimisation and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Warehouse experience with a focus on shipping & receiving operations.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping.

Pay: £31,000.00-£33,696.00 per year
