We are looking for a reliable, practical and detail-focused person to help with dispatch, mail order, parts preparation and goods-in.
This is a hands-on part-time role suited to someone who enjoys organised, practical work and takes pride in getting customer orders prepared accurately and on time. The role involves picking and packing customer orders, preparing parts, assembling fitting kits, and helping receive and put away incoming deliveries and carry out stock checks.
The position is for 12 hours per week, normally worked as 3 shifts of 4 hours. There may also be the option of additional hours during busy periods by mutual agreement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be involved in:
- Picking items accurately for customer orders.
- Packing customer orders securely and neatly for dispatch.
- Preparing parcels for courier collection or postal dispatch.
- Labelling orders and checking dispatch paperwork.
- Assembling fitting kits to specification.
- Preparing parts, including cutting materials, sleeving chains, and related preparation work.
- Checking parts, kits and orders for accuracy before dispatch.
- Helping with goods-in, including receiving deliveries, checking items against paperwork, counting stock, and putting items away.
- Moving boxes and stock safely within the workplace.
- Keeping the dispatch, stock and work areas clean, tidy, safe and well organised.
- Reporting stock shortages, damaged goods, mistakes, or quality issues.
- Following company processes, training and health & safety procedures.

EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in any of the following would be useful, but is not essential:
- Warehouse or stockroom work.
- Dispatch, mail order or fulfilment.
- Picking and packing orders.
- Assembly or kit preparation.
- Goods-in or stock control.
- Practical workshop or hands-on production work.
Full training will be provided.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a practical role and will involve standing, bending, lifting, carrying boxes, handling deliveries and completing repetitive preparation tasks.
Appropriate training and equipment will be provided where required. You should be comfortable with light-to-moderate physical work and able to follow safe manual handling procedures.
WORKING HOURS
The role is for 12 hours per week, worked as 3 shifts of 4 hours.
The exact days can be agreed, but we are looking for a regular and reliable working pattern.
Example working patterns could include:
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00am–1:00pm.
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00am–1:00pm.
- Three weekday mornings or early afternoons to be agreed.
Additional hours may be available during busy periods by mutual agreement.
