We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Deputy Manager to join our vibrant hospitality team at our new venue ~ The Caledonian Bar, Inverness
Responsibilities
- Assist the GM in leading and overseeing daily operations to ensure that all company standards are met
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and guest experiences to both local regulars and tourists
- Manage guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including billing, payments, and financial reporting
- Support the management of the property, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency
- Contribute to staff scheduling, training initiatives, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in management, hospitality, or customer service roles within a busy pub, restaurant, hotel or similar setting
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services and problem-solving
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and financial transactions in a hospitality context
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and creating welcoming atmospheres
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required
- A background in hospitality or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
