We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at HMP Oakwood, a category C men's Prison located in Featherstone.
We are looking for part time applications to join on a permanent basis to support our pharmacy and healthcare team!

Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary of £16,186- £18,824 per annum (salary dependent on hours)

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks
As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- This role will primarily support during medication rounds out on the residential units and complete any medication management tasks as directed by the Duty Manager during the shift.
- Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
- Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
- Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings

Qualifications required
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards
- Medicines handing experience desirable not essential
- Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
