KnitMesh Technologies is looking for a confident and motivated Shift Leader to support our rotating three-shift weekday rota (6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm and 10pm–6am).
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Shift Leader will provide leadership and support across all departments during their shift. A significant part of the role will involve working alongside Production Operators on both automated and manual manufacturing processes. They will act as the designated responsible person on site, ensuring that employees, operations and health & safety standards are effectively managed and maintained throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to employees across all departments.
- Manage day-to-day people issues, including attendance, performance and wellbeing concerns.
- Coordinate operational activities and support business priorities.
- Act as the first point of contact for operational, health & safety and employee matters.
- Respond to accidents, incidents and emergencies in line with company procedures.
- Support effective communication between departments and shifts.
What We're Looking For
- We are looking for someone who is
- Experienced in a manufacturing or operational environment.
- A strong communicator with the ability to motivate and support others.
- Confident making decisions and managing challenges.
- Organised, reliable and committed to health & safety.
Previous supervisory experience is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.

The successful candidate will receive paid training, including:
- Emergency First Aid
- Mental Health First Aid
- Fire Marshal Training
- IOSH Working Safely / Managing Safely
- ILM Leadership & Supervisory Training
This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills and progress towards future Team Leader or management roles.
