Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and delivery vans, in accordance with road safety regulations
- Deliver goods to various locations promptly and efficiently, maintaining accurate delivery records
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety standards
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy or bulky goods, requiring physical strength and proper lifting techniques
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise during transit
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety for yourself and others on the road
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably with commercial driving or delivery experience
- Valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle type
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Reliable, punctual, and organised with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
This role is vital to our operations, requiring a dedicated individual committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery.
Pay: £125.00 per day
