We are seeking a friendly Café Assistant to help support the operations of our small café throughout the week. The ideal candidates will be passionate about customer service, have experience in the food and beverage industry, and be committed to furthering the mission of our Community Interest Company (CIC).
REPORTS TO: Café Manager
LOCATION: Marriss House, Birkenhead
SALARY: £12.71 per hour
HOURS: 16 hours per week
DBS: Enhanced check required
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Use of the till for card and cash transactions
- Support with the production of basic food and beverages following our menu specifications
- Maintain a clean and tidy customer-facing work environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards and Allergy control processes
- Assisting with the daily running of the cafe: Cleaning, stocking up, emptying bins, brushing, mopping, pot washing etc.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any issues or complaints promptly and professionally
- Provide support and guidance for our neurodiverse learners and volunteers
