Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment for our customers.
Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages, as well as other menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and seating areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and serving
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations when needed
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment
Skills
- Previous Barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong understanding of food safety practices
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Basic food preparation skills to assist in menu item creation
- Proficient in basic maths for handling cash transactions accurately
- Effective time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
