Job title: Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Advisor
Reporting to: Managing Director
Salary Range: TBC
Location: Primarily Devon & Cornwall including hybrid working – office, site & home (if desired).
Role: You will have ownership of Classic Builders compliance with SHEQ requirements. The role will include the maintaining and improving of the SHEQ management system and providing input with other senior management for continuous improvement of all SHEQ strategies.
Key responsibilities: Develop, maintain and continuously improve SHEQ strategies, policies, procedures, KPI’s, risk assessments and safe working practices inline with current legislation and standards.
Visiting sites and produce SHEQ reports to a high standard, ensuring continual improvements are made, trends identified, and strategies developed. The current SHE consultants will be retained for the foreseeable future to assist with site visits and reports.
Be part of the team to drive forward Classic Builders’ requirements and improvements under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Be the lead SHEQ interface with key stakeholders including HSE, EA, Clients and contractors.
Work closely with the Directors to promote understanding of company objectives for SHEQ
Work closely with the training administrator to identify training needs. It is desirable that certain training will be delivered by the SHEQ manager.
Carry out accident/ incident investigations where required.
You will be expected to represent Classic Builders being a member of the local Working Well Together Committee
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 3 - 5 years H&S experience with further experience of the building/ construction industry.
NEBOSH Diploma desirable or a minimum NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
Environmental Qualification or working towards.
Good IT skills

Demonstrable SHE experience in the building/ construction industry
Member of IOSH
Up to date knowledge of SHE legislation
