Main Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Security Systems Installation Engineer to install, commission, and maintain a range of electronic security systems including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV systems, and access control solutions. The role involves working at customer sites, ensuring systems are installed to industry standards and client requirements, and delivering high-quality, compliant installations.
Essential Requiements
- Proven experience installing security systems (fire, intruder, CCTV, or access control).
- Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently.
- Familiarity with major system manufacturers (e.g. Hikvision, Texecom, Paxton, Honeywell, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g. Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent) preferred.
- ECS/CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
- FIA qualifications (desirable for fire systems).
- Full UK driving licence (essential)

Role accountabilities: (overall responsibilities)
- Act in a professional and friendly manner when dealing with all customers and GBSG Staff.
- Carry out service and/or maintenance on the above systems to meet quality standards and company policies and procedures.
- Provide 24-hour callout out as required on a rota basis, including weekends, public holidays and periods of staff holiday and sickness.
- Use of technologies and admin systems as required (PDA, tablet).
- Liaise with the Technical Manager for advice on systems and technical problems.
- Attend meetings as requested.
- Ensure customer needs are satisfied regarding sales and service.
- Ensure compliance to security systems response as to NSI requirements.
- Ensure adherence to the Quality requirements of ISO9001 and compliance with the National Security Inspectorate and to complete internal audits as directed.
- Maintain a good working relationship with other departments.
- Attend internal and external training courses as and when required.
- Work within the confines of the General Data Protection Regulations: respecting the rights of Data Subjects and ensuring that personal data is processed as described in the Company's Data Protection Policy.
- Assist in other areas of the company operations (within capabilities) as required.
- Such other duties as required for proper fulfilment of the role.
- Observe all safety rules and procedures, ensuring that the work area, equipment and materials are left in a safe state; and that reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of all fellow employees and any other persons within the work area.
- Work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
- Carry out and comply with all company policies, procedures and instructions and any other reasonable duties deemed necessary by the company.

Salary Starting:
Hours: 8.00am – 5pm
Pay: £16.00-£18.50 per hour
