CBK Adventures is an independent watersports centre based in Cullercoats, Tyne and Wear. We aim to deliver unforgettable outdoor adventures on the water and along our stunning coastline. From kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) to coasteering along rugged cliffs and relaxing in our Finnish beach sauna, we offer unique coastal experiences designed to help our customers unwind and explore.
About The Role
The Watersports Instructor delivers safe, engaging and confidence‑building watersports sessions as part of the CBK Adventures programmes. This role supports a wide range of participants including school groups, youth organisations, families and birthday parties, ensuring sessions are fun, well‑managed and delivered to high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver watersports sessions including stand‑up paddleboarding & kayaking
- Provide clear safety briefings and technical instruction
- Carry out dynamic risk assessments throughout sessions
- Support rescues and emergency responses as required
- Assist with daily equipment checks, storage and cleaning
- Create a positive, inclusive and encouraging environment
- Work collaboratively as part of the instructor team
Essential Requirements
- Paddlesport Instructor (PSI) or equivalent
- Confidence working on and around water
- Strong communication and safety awareness
Desirable
- Paddlesport Leader (PSL) or equivalent.
- PSL Qualification or higher
- Experience delivering sessions to school or youth groups
- Coasteering experience
- Enhanced DBS
- Safeguarding
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: £12.80-£16.50 per hour
