Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Based out of Bruntingthorpe

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Health & Safety Advisor to support our operational teams in maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance across our sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone holding a NEBOSH General Certificate who is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with managers and employees to promote a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with current legislation, and assist in the development and implementation of health and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and safety tours.
- Assist with the completion and review of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Support managers in complying with health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to employees.
- Monitor corrective actions arising from audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Maintain health and safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Assist with COSHH assessments and management of hazardous substances.
- Support contractor management and permit-to-work systems where required.
- Promote continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
About You
Essential:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
- Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
Desirable:
- Experience in an automotive, manufacturing, engineering, or bodyshop environment.
- Membership of IOSH.
- Experience conducting audits and incident investigations.
- Knowledge of COSHH, DSEAR, PUWER, and workplace transport safety.
