Overview
We are seeking an experienced, proactive and detail-oriented Void Works Inspector to join our team and ensure the integrity of void-related operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the pre inspection processes associated with void works, ensuring compliance with safety standards, technical specifications are correct, identify additional works, measure and note materials for project requirements. Your keen analysis skills will help identify discrepancies, assess risks, and maintain high-quality standards across all void-related activities. Own van required initially during trial period. Fuel paid weekly at 45p per mile. Uniform supplied, congestion and parking paid weekly.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of void properties to verify requested works are accurate and safety measures are in place.
- Review specifications to ensure void works meet all technical requirements.
- Analyze inspection data and documentation to identify potential issues or deviations from standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and safety teams to resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Post inspect completed voids to ensure quality of finish is acceptable.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions taken throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure materials required are accurate and available at the earliest opportunity.
- Assist in developing inspection checklists and procedures to streamline quality assurance processes.
- Support site safety initiatives by ensuring all void work activities adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret inspection data accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail to identify defects or non-compliance issues effectively.
- Good communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections efficiently.
- Knowledge of construction standards, safety protocols, and relevant building codes.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools, measurement devices, and documentation software.
