Hope Care Service Agency is recruiting Female Care Assistants to join our growing domiciliary care team in Cheltenham.
This position offers a regular, full-time working pattern across five days per week, including alternate weekends. You will receive a structured weekly rota, consistent hours and regular clients.
We are looking for people who want reliable, long-term work and can commit fully to the role. This position is not suitable for applicants seeking occasional, part-time or highly flexible work.
Driver required: You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle for work. You will drive between clients’ homes throughout your working day.
Visa sponsorship is not available. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Due to the personal care needs and preferences of the people we support, this position is open to female applicants only. This is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
Typical working pattern
- Five working days per week
- Alternate weekend working required
- Start from approximately 7:00am
- Care visits scheduled throughout the day
- Breaks between care runs where the rota allows
- Finish by approximately 8:00pm
Your rota will include scheduled care visits across our operating hours. Depending on client requirements, there may be breaks between calls during quieter periods.
Although weekly hours may vary according to client needs, we aim to provide consistent hours, sensible local care runs and a structured weekly rota.
Applicants must be able to work across the full operating day when scheduled. This position is not suitable for someone who can only work mornings, evenings or selected days.
About the role
As a Care Assistant, you will help people remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes.
You will usually support the same clients each week, allowing you to build trusted relationships and deliver consistent, person-centred care.

What you’ll do
- Support clients with washing, dressing, toileting and other personal care
- Assist with medication in accordance with care plans and training
- Prepare meals and drinks
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with light household tasks
- Support clients with mobility and safe movement
- Promote independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
- Observe and report changes in clients’ needs or wellbeing
- Complete accurate and timely digital care records
- Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and infection-control procedures
