Early Years Practitioner - We are looking for a Qualified, motivated, caring and nurturing Early years practitioner to join our busy team. You will be proactive with a positive attitude and be able to use initiative. Applicants should be fully qualified with a minimum SVQ Social services (children and young people) SCQF level 7 or HNC Childhood Practice at level 7 and be able to register with SSSC. You will be able to contribute to the planning, plan and record meaningful experiences, take forward children’s learning and responsive learning, record observations and document children’s learning journey throughout the centre.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate experiences that promote early childhood development
- Supervise and monitor children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children’s curiosity and independence
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily schedules and activities
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative
- Childcare qualifications such as SVQ Social services (children and young people) SCQF level 7 or HNC Childhood Practice at level 7 or equivalent are required
- Must be registered with SSSC and be a member of protection of vulnerable Groups (PVG) or be willing to do so on request.
