Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, analysing, and managing complex structural projects across various sectors, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments. Duties
- Lead the design and analysis of structural systems using advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
- Develop detailed construction drawings and system designs that meet client specifications and regulatory standards.
- Oversee project workflows from conception through to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of structural elements.
- Conduct structural calculations and assessments using tools like Mathcad to verify safety and compliance.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, and documentation for client presentations and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Structural Engineer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other relevant design tools.
- Solid understanding of system design principles within civil engineering contexts.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Strong mathematical skills with experience using Mathcad for complex calculations.
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes applicable within the UK.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by relevant professional bodies; chartered status is highly desirable.
