Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a reputable care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for providing high-quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise care staff to ensure the delivery of outstanding care services
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in collaboration with residents and their families
- Provide direct personal care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Foster a warm, respectful, and safe environment for all residents
- Assist with organising activities and social events to promote resident engagement
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and organisational policies
- Support new staff through training and mentoring, demonstrating leadership and supervisory skills
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home setting
Qualifications
- Proven experience working within senior or elderly care environments, ideally with supervising or leadership responsibilities
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and relevant regulatory requirement.
- IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in senior care and enhancing quality of life for residents
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities
Pay: £13.16-£13.40 per hour
