Connect Office Supplies is a family-run business that's been helping organisations since 1992. Based in Mansfield Woodhouse, we supply everything businesses, schools and organisations need to keep running smoothly – from office supplies and furniture to workwear, PPE, catering products, business machines and much more.
We're proud of our reputation for friendly, personal service, and we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people, building long-term relationships and helping customers. If you're the sort of person who likes getting to know your customers, spotting opportunities to help them, and being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role:
This isn't a high-pressure call centre job.
You'll manage your own portfolio of business customers, looking after existing accounts while also developing new opportunities. Every day is different – one minute you'll be helping a customer source the perfect office chair, the next you'll be arranging branded workwear or quoting for a complete office fit-out.
Alongside sales, you'll also support the day-to-day running of our busy office, so we're looking for someone who's organised, enjoys variety and isn't afraid to muck in.
What You'll Be Doing:
Building Customer Relationships
- Managing and growing your own portfolio of business accounts.
- Building long-term relationships with customers through regular contact.
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales by understanding customers' needs.
- Making proactive outbound calls to existing and prospective customers.
- Preparing quotations and following them up.
- Delivering outstanding customer service from enquiry through to delivery.
Office & Administration
- Processing customer orders accurately.
- Maintaining customer records and CRM information.
- Assisting with purchasing and supplier enquiries.
- Checking stock availability and liaising with suppliers.
- Supporting the office with general administration.
- Answering incoming calls and helping customers with enquiries.
- Being part of the team—whether that's making a brew, helping tidy the office or supporting colleagues when needed.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who enjoys talking to people and naturally builds rapport. You'll be confident on the telephone, organised, and motivated by providing great service rather than simply making sales.
You'll ideally have:
- At least 2 years' telesales, account management or B2B sales experience.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A friendly, confident and professional telephone manner.
- Strong administration and computer skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- The ability to organise your workload and work independently.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- A genuine team-player mentality.
You'll Fit In Here If You...
- Enjoy building lasting customer relationships.
- Like helping people solve problems.
- Are naturally organised and dependable.
- Enjoy working in a small, friendly team.
- Take pride in doing a great job.
- Want to make a real difference rather than being "just another salesperson."
What We Offer
- Competitive basic salary (negotiable depending on experience).
- Uncapped commission with genuine earning potential.
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours a week)
- No evenings or weekends.
- Company pension.
- Employee discount.
- Casual dress.
- On-site parking.
- Ongoing training and support.
- A friendly, family-run business where everyone knows your name and your contribution is genuinely valued.
