We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to take charge of our construction and development project at Fairwood Lakes.
In this role, you will manage the day-to-day delivery of our project, ensuring all works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to our high-quality standards. You will also take a leading role in contract administration and management, closely liaising with contractors, consultants, and the development team to ensure contractual obligations are met and projects are successfully delivered.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations on construction site, ensuring projects adhere to specified timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, labourers, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow.
- Develop detailed project schedules, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment, maintaining accurate records of deliveries and inventory.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate project updates and resolve issues promptly.
- Prepare progress reports and documentation for senior management and clients.
- Lead by example in promoting a safe working environment and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) — current and valid
- First Aid at Work — current and valid
- CSCS Black Card (Manager) or equivalent
- HNC/HND or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- NEC or JCT contract administration training or qualification
- Minimum 5 years site management experience on construction or development projects
- Proven experience in managing construction sites with a strong understanding of project management principles.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and supervise effectively.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with diverse stakeholders.
Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
