Duties
- Providing personalised hair styling and barbering services tailored to client preferences
- Consulting with clients to understand their desired look and offering professional advice
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work stations in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Building strong relationships with clients through excellent communication skills
- Managing appointment schedules efficiently to minimise wait times
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest hair trends, techniques, and products
- Ensuring all tools and equipment are sterilised and properly maintained
- Promoting salon services and products to maximise client satisfaction and retention
Experience
- Proven experience in customer service within a salon or barbering environment is preferred
- Skills in hair styling, barbering, or related cosmetology fields are essential
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Previous experience working as a barber or hair stylist will be advantageous but is not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn
- A professional attitude with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics is vital for success in this role
