SCOPE OF THE ROLE
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Procurement Manager to support procurement activities across ABM UK's Facilities Services, Technical Solutions and Aviation businesses.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement generalist with 3–5 years' experience who can confidently manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, lead sourcing activities, negotiate contracts, manage suppliers and drive continuous improvement across procurement operations.
Working closely with the Procurement Director, Commercial Managers, Finance and Operational stakeholders, you will deliver commercial value, support procurement governance and help develop procurement processes that improve efficiency, compliance and supplier performance.
The successful candidate will be an independent procurement professional who is able to take high-level business objectives, develop procurement plans, engage stakeholders, manage suppliers and deliver measurable commercial outcomes. They will be comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery while working collaboratively across Commercial, Legal, Finance and Operations.
Procurement Planning & Delivery
- Translate business objectives and stakeholder requirements into clear procurement strategies and actionable sourcing plans.
- Manage procurement projects from opportunity identification through sourcing, contract award, implementation and supplier performance management.
- Deliver measurable commercial benefits including cost savings, rebates, cost avoidance and value improvement initiatives.
Contract Lifecycle Management
- Manage the full procurement contract lifecycle, including drafting commercial terms, negotiating contracts, implementation, performance management, renewals and exit planning.
- Work collaboratively with Legal and Commercial teams to ensure contracts appropriately manage commercial and operational risk.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Develop trusted relationships across Commercial, Finance, Legal, Operations and business leadership to ensure procurement is engaged early in business initiatives.
- Challenge stakeholder requirements where appropriate and provide commercial procurement advice that supports business objectives.
- Build collaborative, long-term relationships with suppliers that encourage innovation, continuous improvement and value creation.
Process Improvement
- Design, document and continuously improve procurement processes, templates, governance and standard operating procedures.
- Promote procurement best practice and increase procurement maturity across the business.
