Duties

- Verify patient identities accurately before sample collection to prevent errors.
- Label samples meticulously and document all collection details in electronic health records (EMIS) efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace by following infection control protocols and disposing of sharps safely.
- Assist with specimen transportation to the laboratory promptly to support timely diagnostics.
- Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and healthcare providers using excellent communication skills in English to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in phlebotomy is preferred.
- Strong communication skills are essential to explain procedures clearly and reassure patients of their safety.
- Basic IT literacy is required to navigate electronic health record systems efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
