At V For Vets, we are proud to be building one of Norwich’s truly Independent Veterinary Practice, designed by veterinary surgeons, not shareholders, where nurses are recognised as professionals, not numbers.
We have now been open for five months and are continuing to grow. Our current team includes two full-time veterinary surgeons, two full-time RVNs, and four full-time PCAs, and we are now looking for a third full-time RVN to join our crew.

About the Role
This is a full-time RVN position within a growing independent practice. The role will include nursing duties, inpatient care, theatre work, consultations, client communication, and helping us shape protocols and standards as the practice develops.
As we are still in our start-up and growth phase, we are looking for someone who is flexible, proactive, and happy to support the wider needs of the practice as we continue to expand.
The role will include participation in:
- A 1-in-3 weekend rota
- Shared on-call duties for our registered clients and inpatients
- Supporting continuity of care for patients we have seen and treated
- Helping the practice transition toward our long-term 24/7 model
Our long-term vision is to become a true 24/7 Independent Veterinary Hospital, with dedicated night roles and a larger nursing team. The current on-call and weekend requirements are part of this early growth phase, not the final model.
As the team expands, with a fourth, fifth, and sixth RVN in due course, and eventually dedicated night RVNs, the rota and on-call commitment will be shared more widely and reduced accordingly.
We are looking for someone who understands the excitement and occasional challenges of joining a growing independent practice and who wants to help shape something meaningful from the ground up.
