Due to continued growth and development, an opportunity has arisen for a Stone Production Operative to join our dimensional stone division, based at Brinscall.
This role is for the production and dressing of Natural Stone:
Walling: Coursed Walling, Natural Cropped Walling, Setts, Cobbles. The production of Stone Walling includes, Split, Pitched & Tumbled finishes.
Loading of working stone slabs on to conveyors using fork trucks previous experience would be an advantage however Forklift (Tele / Counter Balance) training can be given.
Training will be provided to operate the automatic cropping, pitching and tumbling machines.
The operative will be responsible for safely palletising finished product and safe storage on the yard by use of fork truck as well as the tidiness and maintenance of their various machines and working area.
This is a manual role and the operative should be physically able to perform manual lifting.
Requirements
- A full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills are essential, able to follow instruction and work to deadlines.
- A good understanding of math and dimensions is essential and the ability to work from technical drawings. A keen eye for detail is important as the operative will be responsible for quality checks on the stone.
- We expect some degree of flexibility when it comes to job roles, occasionally staff will be required to perform different tasks relating to dimensional stone production and work additional hours.
Working hours are Mon-Fri (7am – 6pm) Sat (7am-1pm as overtime)
