Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing loss or damage, and responding promptly to incidents. Duties
- Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems and physical patrols to identify any suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Monitor access points, verify identification, and control entry to authorised personnel only.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or vandalism.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies, including medical incidents, by providing first aid when necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping purposes.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as required during incidents or investigations.
- Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults or malfunctions promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in security roles or related fields is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
- Basic first aid certification is preferred; candidates with current certification will be prioritised.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognise potential threats or safety hazards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to maintain detailed reports accurately.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
