An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UHD Metastatic breast Cancer Nurse Specialist Team. We are looking for someone to join the team in Poole and work alongside the professionals within our Breast service looking after patients with secondary breast cancer. This post will be mainly based in Poole. The successful applicant will work alongside the current Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) CNS Team. They will be potential for cross site working with opportunity to work in Bournemouth.
The role of the MBC CNS is to support patients and their families throughout the MBC Pathway. This includes ensuring timeliness of investigations and appointments through the pathway with awareness of Cancer Waiting Time Targets, present at Breaking Bad News, offering support and information regarding diagnosis and treatment, being the patients advocate and advising on symptom management.
We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse who is keen to make a difference in the care of those experiencing a life changing diagnosis. More important in this role is a nurse who is highly organised, motivated to learn, with excellent communication and team working skills.
This role requires NMC Registration
