Duty Manager – Roof East, Stratford
£16.00 per hour | Seasonal Contract | Immediate Start
Roof East is one of London's leading rooftop entertainment venues, combining bars, street food, games, live events and private hire experiences. We are looking for an experienced and confident Duty Manager to join our management team for the 2026 season.
This is a hands-on leadership role within a high-volume, wet-led, competitive socialising venue. You'll be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading large teams, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the venue.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' management or supervisory experience within a high-volume hospitality, bar or events venue.
- Previous experience working in wet-led bars, entertainment venues, competitive socialising venues, festivals or large-scale events.
- Personal Licence holder.
- Proven experience managing teams of 20–30 staff during busy service periods.
- Experience handling large corporate bookings, private events and VIP guests.
- Strong operational knowledge of bar service, licensing and health & safety compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make confident decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate venue teams to deliver exceptional service.
- Oversee daily venue operations and service standards.
- Manage guest issues professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety and company procedures.
- Support training, development and performance management of team members.
- Coordinate with event, bookings and operations teams to deliver successful events.
- Conduct opening, closing and cash management procedures.

Availability
