Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and previous janitorial experience to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment. Prior commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to high standards
- Ensure waste disposal is handled efficiently and bins are emptied regularly
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency across all areas
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within allocated timeframes
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Flexibility to adapt to different shift patterns if required
