We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Film & Television Teacher to lead our students in exploring the art of storytelling through film and television. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons on film and television production techniques, including scripting, filming, editing, and post-production processes
- Foster a creative classroom environment that encourages experimentation, collaboration, and critical thinking
- Guide students through hands-on projects such as short films, documentaries, or TV segments from concept to completion
- Assess student work regularly, providing constructive feedback to support growth and skill development
- Maintain a safe and organized studio or classroom space equipped with relevant filming technology and tools
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into curriculum to keep lessons innovative and relevant
- Support students in preparing portfolios or showreels for college applications or career opportunities
Skills
- Strong knowledge of film and television production processes, including scripting, directing, cinematography, editing, and sound design
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of diverse backgrounds
- Experience working with digital editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
- Ability to develop creative lesson plans that balance technical instruction with artistic exploration
- Passion for mentoring young talent and fostering a love for storytelling through visual media
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and ensure timely completion of student assignments
