Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team, available for day or night shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying powder coating to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a background in fabrication or warehouse operations to develop their skills within a professional setting.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking prior to coating
- Operate powder coating equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety standards
- Apply powder coating uniformly using spray guns and other application tools
- Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications
- Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning and minor repairs
- Assist with assembly or fabrication tasks as required
- Follow production schedules to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality
- Ensure the work area is kept clean and organised at all times
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Experience in fabrication, construction painting, or warehouse environments is desirable
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during coating processes
- Proficiency in using welding equipment is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy manufacturing setting
- Prior experience with assembly or working with metal components is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
Shifts
Day shift - 7am - 7pm - Monday - Friday
Night shift - 7pm - 7am - Monday - Friday
