We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team, responsible for enhancing the appearance and protection of various surfaces within residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care to achieve desired aesthetic results.
- Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project specifications and deliver satisfactory outcomes.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment by disposing of waste materials responsibly and ensuring tools are stored correctly.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to minimise risks during painting and decorating tasks.
- Assist with colour matching and selecting appropriate materials for different surfaces and environments.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
- Excellent communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Good physical fitness with the capacity to work at heights using scaffolding or ladders safely.
