Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full Time (Part Time considered)

Blackwater Academy is an independent Alternative Provision (AP) school supporting students aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, SEND and disrupted educational experiences.
We are looking for a passionate and resilient Teacher of Mathematics to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping young people re-engage with education and achieve success.
The Role
You will:
- Deliver engaging Maths lessons at KS3 and KS4, including GCSE Foundation and Functional Skills.
- Adapt learning to meet a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ADHD, ASD and literacy gaps.
- Build positive relationships with students and create a safe, supportive classroom environment.
- Assess progress and provide effective feedback.
- Work closely with mentors, teaching assistants and the wider pastoral team.
- Contribute to the wider life of the academy.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience teaching Mathematics (or has strong subject knowledge).
- Believes every young person can succeed.
- Is adaptable, resilient and committed to inclusive education.
- Has excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Works well as part of a team.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from unqualified teachers with relevant experience, graduates with strong subject knowledge, or those looking to begin a career in Alternative Provision.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
