Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter/Decorator to join our team, in the commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and attention to detail.
- Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and specialised equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including safe disposal of waste materials.
- Assist in colour matching and selecting appropriate finishes based on client specifications.
- Complete projects within designated timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
- Strong communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications accurately.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to painting and decorating activities.
