Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic SKIP HIRE team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Class 2 truck to deliver/ collect skips efficiently and reliably to various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with your attention to safety and customer service, will ensure smooth operations and satisfied clients. Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle, including skip trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Deliver skips directly to customer sites or designated drop points, providing excellent customer service during each interaction
- Follow all company policies and legal requirements related to commercial driving and transportation safety
- Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) license
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably within the industry
- Knowledge of road regulations, safety standards, and best practices for commercial driving
- Excellent navigation skills and ability to plan efficient routes
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards
