Job Overview
We are seeking a professional LGV Class 1 Driver to join our team on a full-time basis, working a 5 on, 2 off rota. Experience in hanging meat transportation preferred.
The role incorporates an alternating pattern. 1 week day shifts and the following week night shifts.
Duties
- Conduct pre-journey checks on vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards
- Delivering hanging meats from collection point to delivery destination in a safe manner.
- Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner, maintaining accurate delivery documentation
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and trailer throughout shifts
- Comply with all legal and company requirements related to commercial driving and transportation regulations
Requirements
- Valid LGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with hanging meat transport experience.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Good knowledge of UK roads and navigation skills
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading goods
- Flexibility to work the designated shifts, including weekends when required
- A professional attitude with excellent time management skills
