Anderson Barrowcliff is a thriving and forward-thinking firm of Teesside-based Chartered Accountants looking for an experienced and proactive Bookkeeper / Management Accountant to join our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a varied client base and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a varied portfolio of clients
- Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and journals
- Preparing and filing VAT returns in line with Making Tax Digital requirements
- Preparing periodic management accounts and reporting for a wide variety of clients
- Posting period-end adjustments including accruals, prepayments and depreciation
- Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide timely financial information
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day accounting operations
About You:
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- AAT qualified, part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
- Sound working knowledge of VAT and Making Tax Digital
- Experience of preparing management accounts and periodic reporting
- Proficient in cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confident, professional communicator, comfortable dealing directly with clients
- Able to manage multiple client deadlines and prioritise effectively
