Our beautiful Avila Nursing Home in Bessbrook is now recruiting for an experienced, fulltime Care Assistant.

As a Care Assistant, you are required to provide the excellent standard of care expected to all residents.
Responsible for all aspects of personal care, our care assistants are able to support, encourage and enable independence to our residents at Avila Nursing Home.
Duties include:
- Personal care to residents, bathing, toileting, dressing.
- Helping at mealtimes and throughout the day.
- Ensuring that a resident's bedroom is tidy and that there is a welcoming atmosphere throughout the home.
- Help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities.
- Attend to residents who are confined to bed and help lift and turn these residents using the equipment outlined in their care plan as necessary for their care and comfort.
- Complete accurately all relevant documentation e.g. food and fluid charts, turning charts, property forms, life
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good understanding of care plans and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
- Excellent communication skills, empathetic nature, and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a caring environment
