Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing air conditioning systems across various sites. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to interpret schematics, and leadership skills to oversee maintenance projects. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with construction experience and a passion for equipment repair within the HVAC industry.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Install new air conditioning units and associated equipment in commercial and industrial settings.
- Troubleshoot system faults using schematics and technical manuals, providing effective solutions.
- Lead maintenance teams during large-scale installation or repair projects, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues before they result in system failure.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaborate with construction teams during building projects to ensure HVAC systems are correctly integrated.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, promoting a safe working environment.
- Must be willing to attend pre planned & reactive call outs
- Must be willing to travel to different sites around the UK each day
Experience
- Proven experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and equipment repair techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals accurately.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with experience overseeing maintenance teams or projects.
- Construction experience is advantageous, particularly in building services or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with HVAC control systems and electrical components is desirable.
- Ideally experience with commercial biased reactive and planned maintenance
