Ramsay Timber is a family run business based in Appley Bridge. We are specialist timber importers and bespoke wood machinists for the timber industry and have been trading for over 40 years.
We are looking for an experienced class 2 delivery driver to join our team.
Role
We are looking for a class 2 driver with an enthusiastic and hard-working attitude, who also has strong customer service skills and a professional and personable approach. Good geographical knowledge of the Northwest, Northeast, North Wales, Cumbria, and the Midlands would be advantageous, delivering multi drop orders of timber.
Some deliveries require handballing bundles of timber so please consider this when applying.
Candidate
A trustworthy, ambitious, hardworking candidate with a polite manner.
Some previous history in the timber trade would be preferred but not essential.
Someone not afraid to go the extra mile when required.
A selfless attitude towards fellow professionals ensuring a good team togetherness.
Applicants must have
- Full UK Driving Licence with a maximum of six penalty points
- Class 2 Licence
- Digital Tacho Card
- Up to date CPC training
- Good knowledge and understanding of health and safety relating to the role
- Good geographical knowledge.
