Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pizza Cook/Assistant to join our vibrant kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen interest in creating delicious pizzas that delight our customers. This role requires a commitment to food safety and quality, ensuring that every meal is prepared to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizza styles, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and managing dough.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Serve pizzas and other menu items to customers when required, providing excellent customer service.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience is essential; experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
